Experience in completing multilateral wells using TAML 3 technology in an open hole
The construction of the first multilateral well using TAML 3 technology with the possibility of selective access to both wells was successfully completed. Installation of the branching unit and docking of the TAML 3 system modules with the liners of the main and sidetracks was carried out in an open hole with a diameter of 152.4 mm.
In the context of the growing need to involve in the development of ever larger reserves, some of which are characterized as hard-to-recover, and the presence of new challenges in drilling and well completion, the need for an integrated approach and targeted solutions is sharply increasing. Taking into account the conjuncture of the modern market of services, an individual approach becomes the key to achieving the set goals. The construction of multilateral wells using TAML 3 technology in an open hole can be an effective solution for many ongoing projects.
