Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum – TNF 2021
The Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum annually becomes a center of attraction for leading experts, specialists and leaders of the oil and gas industry. TNF 2021 gathered more than 10,000 participants from more than 10 countries, 43 events of the business program were organized, 66 companies became exhibitors.
Solving specific problems, open discussion of complex issues, transition of existing dialogues to a whole new level and wide opportunities for networking – this is an incomplete list of opportunities offered by TNF. The past Forum combined both traditional discussion platforms like Technological Days, Plenary Sessions supervised by Vertically-integrated Oil and Gas Companies, and conceptually new spaces for discussions like Panel Sessions, Round Tables, led by service companies, for example, Alexander Kashlev, ML One. The modernized events were produced by Ivan Mnatsakanov, an international multilateral well completion expert. We paid attention to the YATEK Morning Run, which brought a special drive and sporting spirit to the Forum.
A distinctive feature of the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum is the possibility of direct dialogue between representatives of Operators and Service companies. Thus, ML One CBO, Evgeny Pyatkov, took part in the NOVATEK PJSC Technology Day with a report “Development of ML One Completion Systems for Multilateral Wells”. During the presentation, the current vector of TAML 1 and TAML 3 systems development was highlighted. And the integrated completion systems MSS / MLT TAML 1 IC, TAML 3 IC with a downhole telemetry complex were presented as promising areas by Evgeny Pyatkov. An increase in the coverage area of reservoirs, coupled with the ability to collect well data, allows analyzing the current state of field development and promptly adjusting the operation of wells. It was also possible to discuss the TAML 3 FR system within the Q&A session. It is a complex solution that includes junction equipment and multistage hydraulic fracturing in each lateral.
One of the updated-format events was the Panel Session “Technological Challenges in Drilling and Well Completions”, moderated and inspired by ML One CEO Alexander Kashlev. The issues of new drilling and completion technologies and domestic software solutions R&D, expanding the competencies of Russian companies was being discussed. One of the speakers was Lee Dolman, representative of the Terra VC MENA venture fund. Mr Dolman gave Understanding the Middle East Oil & Gas Business Landscape for the Entry of Upstream Technologies.
As a final topic, the moderator of the Panel Session spoke about different ways how to optimize the injection operation. Mr Kashlev presented a new ML One R&D line – converting old production wells into injection. He emphasized the technological and economic prospects of the systems due to the expansion of the impact zone through the construction of lateral holes.
